Hello all,

Today was a good day for me.

It warmed up a bit, the sun was out, and I got some Fortes.1.gif

They're in really decent condition.

Just a few small scratches on the veneer.

Nothing really noticable.

Except for stress cracks on the surround of one passive radiator, all drivers and lens appear to be in great shape.

There is one thing.

They are mismatched, big time.

One is 8562422

the other 8739162

There are quite a few external differences between these two.

I wonder what i'll find on the inside.

Very interesting.

Could one of you fine people enlighten me on these two model years?

Otherwise, I love 'em.

They sound great. (of course)

I'm excited to compare them with my ForteIIs and Quartets.

All I need now is some Chorus and I have a complete set. 9.gif

Make room for my future Belles, La Scalas or Cornwalls OR all 3. Klipschorns?

Hey clu!

How R.U.?

That was the nacho cheesiest thing i've heard all week.

Unfortunately my dear, I do have one little problem.

My Fortels' didn't come with their respective corrogated recepticles.

What ever am I to do now?

I'm lost....

Where should I terminate the cabling?

Don't tell me I got to cram it into those tiny openings in the back.

heh, wouldn't be the first time.9.gif

You keep the chili....

gives me heartburn.2.gif

You know what I always say in these situations,

Eat your school and stay in your vegetables.

And always be kind to roadkill.

BTW. Anyone have even a vague idea why the '85 and '87 Forte are built differently?
