Joi La Frique
Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster. I run a party over in the UK and have been looking for a second pair of klipschorns for a few years now for it, but without much luck. They don't go up for sale over here too often! I was wondering if there's any UK members who have a pair they're getting rid of, or know of any being sold within the UK. EU could also be an option, but would prefer to see them in person first if possible. Any help greatly appreciated Thanks very much Gabriel

DizRotus
Welcome to active status Gabriel, and good luck with your search As I’ve mentioned here many times before, in the mid-70s, I used four Speakerlab SKhorns (Klipschorn knockoffs) in a mobile DJ business, a “party” if you will. They worked well for that use. Frequently it was not possible to place them in proper corners, but the bass was aided by enclosing the backs with plywood. Is appearance important? Perhaps some small now defunct cinema has decorator Khorns that have gone silent.
Joi La Frique
Ta Dirtmudd, well versed with hifishark (it’s how we found our first pair), but despite keeping an eye on it near daily no others seem to be coming up (in the UK at least). hey Diz, thanks for the welcome! wasn’t aware of the Speakerlab ones, can’t see any around currently but will keep my eyes peeled for those alongside the originals. Thanks for the tip! and appearance not too important no. The ones we have currently were modded and painted white (horrible decision that wasn’t ours, but we’ve grown to like the look). Will check in with some old cinemas, but as far as I’m aware the UK tended not to use Klipsch very often in pro settings (may be mistaken on this though). Still dreaming of the day of stumbling on some old jubilees in an old cinema though!
