Tom05 Posted January 11, 2022 Share Posted January 11, 2022 Bought a pair of the rp 280’s a while ago, time to share a few thoughts, and a general comparison to the Heresy II . I wondered how the rp280 would sound at home , in the real world and was immediately impressed with them, how clean they sounded and with such detail. The low bass sounds a little thick on many recordings, and also a bit much at the top end for my taste, tone controls took care of this . The high level of detail and resolution is remarkable and kind of confused me for awhile, knowing that it surpassed that of the Heresy II , but there is more to a speaker than ultimate resolution, and after weeks of careful listening and comparison I found that to my ear the Heresy gave a more natural, enjoyable and convincing presentation. The RP 280 is a fantastic speaker but the old iconic Heresy is still tough to beat . 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
