Cut-Throat
HDBR, You have pretty much convinced me that I should not apply stripper to my Belles. So I thinking of sanding them down. I have at least done sanding on veneer and have not sanded though it yet. I am pretty careful and use pretty fine sandpaper. My question - Won't the stain still be in the wood after sanding the finish off? - Can I get the stain out anyway? Thanks
HDBRbuilder
Depending on he stain type, you should be able to get it out through wood bleaching if it is necessary. In that book I recommend, it shows the techniques for bleaching out stain. Just be careful when getting the bleach nearby the seams of the veneer, since your substrate is MDF.
