AmeriPat
We are retiring soon and downsizing so it's time to let go of some stuff. Begrudgingly. Up first are my cherished 1972 Khorns with upgraded networks and tweeters. Both upgrades were done through members of this forum so not sub-par at all. See photos. Background: I'm the third owner (as told to me by the person I purchased them from). The first owner owed a debt to the second owner and so he took the speakers to pay off the debt. The second owner was forced to sell them to me because of a divorce. I've owned them for about 10 years. There are no major flaws. In fact, I'm willing to put money down that these are the finest 1972 Khorns anywhere. What flaws there are have been documented in the photographs and I would consider them very minor for 50 year old speakers. They are simply amazing to look at and they sound terrific with the combination of the upgraded networks with a 6db slope to the midrange and the upgraded tweeters. I'm asking what I think is a firm and fair $5,500 for them. Next, a Klipsch RSW-15 subwoofer. This was purchased along with the Klipschorns from the same gentleman. It's been under my desk relegated to dust catcher duty for the last 5 years or so, being replaced by the SVS. The cabinet is not pristine, but not in bad shape either. There are no major or even minor scratches, just a cabinet showing its age. One of the pins is broke from the screen but that's pretty typical of this model. Also, one small dent in the passive cone but it doesn't go through. Honestly, I hooked it up to make sure it still works before I posted this ad and after doing so I almost don't want to sell it. But I have to. So I'll sell this at a firm $650. All the 'damages' to these pieces were there when I bought them. As I said, I try to take care of my stuff. As an aside: I have an old account here but haven't logged into it in years so I can't remember what email or password I used, or even my username. That's the reason for this new account. Mikekid
Love our setup that we've had for so many years, but someone is going to love this equipment you've posted. Those Khorns..man! So many trash stereo equipment, especially at their age. And BOTH of those subs.. NICE!! ...these Khorns though...someone cared a lot. Good luck.👌

Moderators Travis In Austin Posted March 1, 2023 Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2023 Congratulations on the sale. Thanks for marking it “sold”. [Edit, realized that you only sold the Sub. Up to you, but you may want to edit the Sold back out and remove SVS just so there is no mistake that the Khorns are still available.]
