robB
guys...... I have seen Klipsch go through driver changes before...and i have yet to notice, ..from a musical perspective..any change in the heritage line...sonically Just before i purchased my 81" Cornwalls, they changed the woofer And after i had them for a while, they came out with larger tweeters and everything was front mounted.. Yet....that sound was still there It's just like....., A, 9' Steinway is allways a Steinway. It still has that BIG soundboard and quality Regardless of what parts they use. So CHILL....everythings gonna be fine WASN'T IT PWK HIMSELF WHO MADE A REFERENCE TO DRIVERS AND SELECTION SOMETHING ABOUT CATGUT AND WHO CARES WHICH CAT IT CAME FROM,..BUT ONLY MATTERS THAT THE STRINGS ON THE VIOLIN STILL SOUND LIKE A STRADAVARIUS?? i do have a question while im here though In regards to finish Im just about to taking the plunge into a set of cornerhorns.. 1) is the finishing still as nice as the "80's" models that were made 2) when i heard the klipschorns at the dealers house,..these models were in rosewood...with black grilles can you still order the custom finishes. or is that just a "great memory" of the past and everything is now the oiled walnut with black grilles ?? mind you..the walnut with black is still outstanding to see..
