ANY, and I repeat ANY help would be appreciated. Not many people seem to be browsing that section so I thought I'd post it here.

Diggs
Thanks M00n, I posted my problem and we'll see what happens. I did find out some useful info. It seems others are having the same problem with the Monster AV 200 pack not transfering the digital signal. I sure as hell hope I don't have to buy another damned AV pack. That would mean I'd have spent half the cost of the machine just to get DD out of it. I'm really starting to get mad.
m00n
True, that would be an unfortunite expense.
dblue
Here's the problem: The XBOX is not detecting that you have an optical hooked up. When you do, DD 5.1 and DTS are selectable on the dashboard. Mine didn't show up untill I hooked up the AV box. I don't have the monster set, though. Try exchanging the Monster set for a new one, it's probably defective.

Bruinsrme
Hey, I do not have the monster AV pack I opted to save a few buck and went with the Microsoft Hi def pack with component video and optical audio. When this AV pack is connected it appears the xbox auto senses this and provides the additional setting in the Audio section of the dash board. On the XBOX Purchased (Nov 15th original release) connected to the HT I have the following selections; Audio Audio Mode Digital Surround Dolby Digital Enabled DTS Enabled On my sons Xbox (purchased this past Xmas) with the standard AV pack Audio Stereo Dolby Surround Hope this info helps and let me tell you Halo is unreal.
