kjohnsonhp
Do any of you record onto CD for portability...ie listening in the car? I'm trying to optimize the process. I record an lp side into a Wave File. I then use the wave file editor and copy track 1 to a new file, track 2 to a new file, etc. splitting the lp side from one file into as many files as tracks. The problem is that each time I have to save the file and my PII/400 has delays in saving the file. I also have to expand the graphic to find the break points. It's not as easy and quick as copying CD tracks to CD. Are there any short-cuts other than having one lp side per track? The pops etc. are few on most of my lps (I've upgraded condition where needed in many cases--except for rare 50's 45's) but they become more annoying when they aren't random. Once recorded onto Cd if you hear the song enough you start to anticipate the sound...fortunately I've had much trouble with that.
mike stehr
I think the CDP in my pick-up has mold growing in it.
