shame those woofers get dents

Yup!  I already refurbished a pair that had dented woofers.  4 new OEM ones cost well over $400, so at that point, unless you're in love with the way the RF-3's sound, you won't break even when you decide to sell and move on to another speaker.

I had the ones I refurbished serving as surround duty for awhile (Way overkill!) When I went to sell them, I lucked out.  I found someone who had a pair back in the day and ended up selling them.  Then, he decided he missed them and wanted another pair.  He liked the look of the updated drivers.... and was willing to pay what it cost me to upgrade them.  I'm considering myself lucky to find such a person! I basically broke even but was glad to send them off to the next owner who was really excited to once again own another pair of RF-3's!

Depending on the dents or creases, they generally sound good. Bought a pair long ago with none on one and several on the other. Used grille on dented. Likely some measu rable unwanted distortion, yet used them for abit, as was not ear noticeable. Can use in garage or other if cabinets beat too much. Not a fixer upper here.
