synthfreek
Did any of you guys keep track of this guy's auctions? He pieced his Cornwalls out because he didn't wanna crate the speakers intact. What's weird is that he ended up getting almost $950 and he didn't even auction the cabinets off. Even weirder is that ONE GUY BOUGHT ALL THE DRIVERS AND X-OVERS???!!! What gives? He could've just purchased another set and had the entire speakers shipped for less than just the guts of these!
jt1stcav
He did what? What's the URL?

Johnny dB
What the... I saw those auctions but didn't follow them. Is that guy crazy?
jt1stcav
To ruin a perfectly good pair of Cornwalls by cannibalizing them, just because he doesn't want to be bothered shipping them. What a fool!
Johnny dB
I'm sure after selling the components for a tiddy profit he'll then hack up the cabinets for kindling!
fini
Hell, if it was me selling those, I'd just use the cabinets as shipping crates! Slap another piece of ply across the motorboard, stick a label on, and go! fini
Clipped and Shorn
fini, you would still have to take the back off and cram it full of styrofoam peanuts,.....man you could unload a lot of peanuts that way....in fact you could leave the nesting mice in there and everything....oh, wait...that's my barn....not yours. fini
As you recall, in an effort to save precious space, I use my Cornwalls as canned soda dispensers (left regular, right diet). THAT'S what those ports are for!! fini
markw
I may be sick.... (revision) On second thought... maybe the buyer is building homemade Klipshorns?
jp ward
A few years ago a guy in Hong Kong wanted to have his wife who was in the states bring back the componets of a pair of cornwalls that I had on ebay. I gave him detailed instructions for the cabinets. He wanted them in parts so that she could bring them home on the plain. Maybe something similar?? paul
