thxknight Posted April 14, 2003 Share Posted April 14, 2003 This is straight out of my childhood, anybody else who remembers PBS' "square one TV" should be able to crack this one. does anybody else remember "it all comes back to 9"? if you look at the array of symbols every multiple of 9 has the same symbol. Their little game of picking two digit numbers and subtracting the sum of the two numbers will always net a multiple of 9. kenratboy Posted April 15, 2003 Share Posted April 15, 2003 Yes, when you do the math (try it, the process to get your number), you will always get a multiple of 9. Look at 9, 18, 27, 36, etc. - they all share the same symbol. The symbol changes each time you refresh it and try it again, but the multiples of 9 always have the same symbol.
