Marvel
While replacing caps in an old tube amp, I have a couple that are 390mmF. I know that milli micro is a term that is no longer used. Is it the same as pF (picoFarad)? Thanks in advance! Marvel
Weiming
pico is 10 exponent -12 while milli is 10 exponent -3 and micro is 10 exponent -6. So milli micro will be 10 exponent -9 which is not equals to pico. I believe milli micro's equivalent is nano.
Malcolm
Yep, it is a nanofarad.
djk
390mmF is 390pF, not nF(it was micro micro Farads).
Marvel
djk, Many thanks. This shows your age you know? My older brother (mid 50s) also thought it was milli micro, but without thinking too much about it thought it was pico. I can now get my order placed.
