Linseed oil and tung oil are totaly different types of finish. If you use tung oil it will add a shine too the finish because it is no longer an "Oil" finish. Tung oil is much more like a lacquer finish and seals the wood off in a way that boiled linseed does not. Peace, Josh ---------------- BEWARE!!! Tung oil over my oiled walnut CWs was a monumental mistake! Andy Builder tells me that I will have to take them all the way down to bare wood to get rid of this too shiny junk. tc
Chris Robinson
Tony, born and raised in NYC? What neighborhood? I was a Jersey kid but worked in NYC for some years and have a lot of friends there. Did my MBA at NYU as well (Rector St). Love (and miss) that city. Like no other. What brought you to El Salvador?
lynnm
"the national beverage of El Salvador is "horchata" a horrible mix of milk and ground up seeds and nuts..." Ewwwwwwwww!! but I guess enough rum might make it drinkable OTOH When you think about it one of the most popular drinks in the U.S. and Canada is egg-nog. I can imagine the reaction of the average Latin American to: Dos Huevos en uno copa de leche con Ron y espices ! Madre a Dios - Es tu Loco ?
