justin_tx_16
I have been meaning for about three weeks to make a thread about T1. I bought this at blockbuster, brand new, special edition for... $14.99! got T2 Extreme DVD for $14.99 also, wal-mart. I was curious if I was a minority in this, but when you update a movies sound and enhance its old effects, why don't you also update the sound track? The electronic funk that you hear in the back ground just does not convey the message. Get some John Williams or something in there. Heck, some rock music would be great. I think that "Look Like A Lady" would fit in better with that movie than some of the music. How about "Oops I Did it Again" as Arnold is blown up for the second time. Sound track worthy music comes from many weird places, I don't know what they were going with when they chose the music in this movie, but I would be more than happy to choose something that would actually fit. I know, the '80s, big deal. Times change. Maybe make a modern track for us young folk, and an original track for all you ol' farts (joking hehe). That would work for me. damonrpayne
I was born the year the first Star Wars came out. Jedi is the first film I ever saw in the theater.
garymd
I saw Dreamscape recently and it seemed to be 100 yrs old. It really is amazing how far technology has come in the past 20 yrs.
damonrpayne
Dreamscape was a messed up film! You know, even though technology keeps making things more "real" and dynamic, we're no better at telling stories than we ever were. I still love the David Lynch version of Dune, for example
MagnumMan
True, the original Terminator on DVD is not perfect. But it is much better than the mono version on the 1st DVD release!

damonrpayne
I just bought the "special edition" T1 and I thought the sound wasn't so bad. I mean, the music and everything was crappy 80s techno but I thought it was mixed rather well. Got a second opinion and they agreed.
marksdad
that is what i have, the "special" edition, it sounds terrible, it is said to be remastered in 5.1 stereo, yukie!
damonrpayne
Maybe its your system ! I'm half kidding. I've only heard Klipschorns a couple times, and they do seem to bring out the flaws in recordings more than any other speakers I've ever heard.
