Gilbert
Does anyone have some origional speaker insulation? I've redone a pair of old cornwalls, and all I need is the insulation before I put them back together. BB member "hightone" said he had some for me, but then told me he sold it a week later. I'm still looking. Your help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
lynnm
Get yourself some fiberglass insulation of the same approximate thickness as the original insulation. The sonic difference between the "original" batting and the new will range from nil to just a tad above nil. The box and drivers are the really important variables here. The fiberglass batting if close to the original in thickness will work fine.

Gilbert
Dean, I wanted to replace my old insulation with the same/origional type material. I will use the type you refered me too though if all else fails. Thanks anyway.
reel 2 reel
go to a "fabric shop" or an upholstery shop and get some "dracron batts" used for upholstery. Thats what my wife does and we have rolls of it....
