MichaelShaffer
How come the RB-75 isn't called the RB-7 since there isn't an RF-75?
justin_tx_16
Because the RB-XX is a different speaker design than the RB-X series. If you are looking the "RF-75", you would probably have the money to look at the higher end Reference, the RX-X instead of RX-XX
M6 Driver
Think of it as the evolution of a line of speakers. Example the KG series KG 4, KG 4.2, KG 4.
MichaelShaffer
Ok I get it, the new ones are basically an improvement over the old RB-X..
Audio Flynn
Are all of the RB-XX front ported?

This is for easier placement. The RX-XX is not necessarily an improvement on the RX-X series, just a different speaker. infact, the RX-X series is still the top of the line, as far as I know at least. This weekend I think I'm going to return my RB-3's and order a pair of RB-35's from acousticsounddesign instead.
Guest BobG
RB-15's are rear ported, making them the exception in the new line. This was done to minimize the height of that speaker where we believe its small size is important. Putting the port on the front would have made the RB-15 about 2" taller. So the port is on the rear on that model.
Frzninvt
Uh, the RX-X is not the top of the line thank you! (maybe in the reference series), but not in Klipsch's overall line up, that spot still belongs to the Klipschorn! How quickly we forget!
