jhawk92
Pretty good looking Mark IIIs. Would almost be worth splitting the quad with someone.
Deang
He needs to come down a little. All four of these have the transformers made in the good ole US of A with cloth covered wiring. Sweet.
NOSValves
Yea the quad of them should go for about $1400 I would say.

A pair of the Mk III's would be a nice addition ? Or should I look at the dark side for some hot new SS box like this? http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?ampstran&1065286937 First things first...let me get my ST-70 and 355 up and running. NOSValves
Yup sorry to many customers to keep all you great guys straight. Well if it were me it would be Mark III's all the way without a second thought. But hey I like them very much. Did the 355 arrive yet getting late in the day ? Your ST-70 is working isn't it ? jhawk92
Hmm, so at $350 each, that's not too bad. Find a good pre and you be singing pretty good. Nuts. Don't think I could swing these right now...or could I?
NOSValves
Yea they look to be in awesome cosmetic shape compared to most his pictures could be better and I would ask for more because even at $350 each that is at the high side of what they can go for. I know of 2 set that were bought by for $400 to $500 one with cloth leads (Tom) and one without that I rebuilt. I personally have heard both and hear no difference the none cloth lead models seem to run higher voltage slightly. I think it just like NOS tubes the difference is blown out of proportion by many because they paid more or there older it has to be better type thing but in reality not really better in most cases just different.
