jkjome85
A few months ago I decided to use my Graduation money to purchase a pair of RF-3II's. Only problem was, I only had enough for one tower. No problem, I'll just go to my local Ultimate Electronics and buy one tower now, then in a few weeks get the other. That way I could get an idea of what they are like, since I wanted them NOW. Then I had problems with my car... so in other words, I've had only one tower for a few months now, and this speaker is also discontinued, so I can't just go back and get the other one like I had planned. Question is, where could I find another tower.. just one? It has to be in perfect shape if not brand new. Any suggestions?
marksdad
you could chance ebay, or just use the 3 as a center for a pair of 35's
lancestorm
I agree with marksdad. Why not consider that one speaker your new center?
tankhokie
yeah, that is going to be tough to find just one, maybe look for a seller that is unloading an all around RF3-II surround, maybe they might part with a back/front center that is a RF3-II...? jkjome85
Thanks for your guyzes help, but I want to keep the RC-3II center channel speaker that I just spent $350 on for my center speaker, plus if I did use the tower as my center, the speaker would block my 42" tv screen,"be in the way". Also I dont like the looks of the new speaker line. Anybody know of any online companies that might sell just one tower? Thanks
lancestorm
I had the same dilema with my tv. I simply took the feet off of the tower and placed the tower on it's side on top of the entertainment center (which houses the tv). In your case you are likely to be able to put it right on your tv. It works great. I went with the tower as a center simply because I plan on having a projector one of these days...
