Jim Cornell
I was wondering what you were doing with your KG5.5s! Were your cabinets that bad? The last time i saw your posts you were just going to fix them! Ill tell you what, you built an awesome center channel, look like it would go well with my 4 cornwalls, do you have a buyer for the other one? I have 2 K77Ms here and a K33E woofer, im waiting to get a mid, if really needed, and crossover, then i could build my own Heritage style, center channel! Great job on your 5.5 center looks really good!! Regards Jim
4977
Thanks for the kind words. One of the cabinets was beyond repair. I don't really have room for 2 pair of full size speakers so I decided on the center idea. My father has dibs on the second speaker. If you can get everything you need to build a center for your cornwalls do it. I have had a lot of fun with this project. I did have the advantage of having most everything I needed. The second tweeter doesn't look as good due to some damage to the woofers and a hole in the tweeter horn. Luckily the damage dosen't affect the sound. Q. Flason
Question on the KG5.5's. I also have a pair that I picked-up at a pawn shop a while ago. They sound awesome a lead to the purchase of my KLF30's and KSP400's. They were a little scuffed up when I bought 'em and was wondering if there is any touch-up paint out there to use to make them look like new again. Any Klipsch specific brand to use. A buddy of mine is interested in buying them if they looked a little better. Thanks.
Jim Cornell
Talk to your buddy, sounds to picky to me, the kg5.5s have been discotinued for years, give him a deal! Even my cornwalls i paid 700.00 for, needed 300.00 tweeters! Regards Jim
