BBB
I dont want to cause a big stink here but havent some of you caught a few of these E-Bay BS artists trolling on our boards? Im the type that gets burned half the time when I put a dollar in a change machine so I never use E-bay or similar sites. Excuse me. Im ignorant. He he he. All kidding aside, we should keep an eye out for these rip-off goofballs and warn all members at the slightest hint of being taken by one of them. If we dont watch each others backs, who will? 3dzapper
I have a little advice to foil a tactic used by "snipers". ( I have used snipes myself to win a bid. ) Snipers will bid $1 on an auction without a reserve to shut off the "Buy-it Now" feature. If you list an item with BIN put a reserve on it or start it halfway to your desired selling price. This will let more buyers look at your BIN and, maybe, take advantage of it. Snipes in themselves are not bad. If they win a bid they are always higher than the previous bidders maximum price. The seller wins and the sniper wins. They do frustrate non-snipers though. I know I was, when that bid came in with seven seconds to go, and I didn't know what was happening. Rick
