sherman1125
I've been thinking of getting into HT via existing speakers. Would LaScala's in the front and KG5.2's in the rear be a good match? I would have to get a center speaker. I also have a set of Revel M20's but think the low sensativity wouldn't keep up with the LaScalas. marksdad
a better match for sats would be heresies, and for center another la, or a corn, and you are right, the revels would not be in the same league, as the las
Malcolm
You need to use something in the Heritage line to get a decent match for LaScalas. Anything else will be disappointing, whether from Klipsch or another manufacturer.
SCOOTERDOG
I have la scala's as my mains and plan on adding heresies for my side surrounds. My center is one I custom built using all klipsch drivers and built in the heritage tradition. If interested in building a center let me know and I would happy to supply photos of the project. You can go to my HT site and take a peak if you like.
sherman1125
Thanks for the suggestions. As I stated but not clearly enough, I would be using existing speakers. I'm not buying any more unless it's a center as I have 3 sets of speakers in 2 systems now. Too many! John
itsmyforte
your gonna have to buy a heritage speaker to come close to matching for a center. its gonna be pretty hard to find something else that will keep up and timbre match a lascala besides another heritage speaker. best bet for cheap would be a heresy. otherwise you could always build something with heritage drivers.
