maxg
Seems I am a "cool newbie". Is this like a Private in the Army. How do I get promoted and what to? Should I aspire to "crazy poster"? What else is there? I imagine administrator is out...
Ray Garrison
maxg, It's strictly a question of how many posts you post. If you take a look at the numbers and the titles you'll see how they progress. Don't know what comes after "No Life" - don't think anyone's crossed the next threshold yet. Perhaps "AfterLife?" ray ------------------ Music is art Audio is engineering
HornEd
Hmmm, how about "Coolest Oldbie" for 2,500 posts? Congrats on your "No Life" status, Ray, your insightful bursts have spurred us on. HornEd PS: Too bad they can't amend maxg's avatar to be "Captain Marble" (providing he goes through with his marble-ized Klipsch collection). ------------------ Living HT Legends KLF 30 L&R Mains RC-7 Center (ordered) KLF 30 L&R Surrounds KLF 30 L&R Rear Effects KLF 10 L&R Front Effects Twin SVS CS-Ultra Pwr Sub KSW-15 Pwr Sub (rear) Speaker Support Systems: Mitsubishi RPHD1080i 65" Yamaha RX-V3000 Receiver and such... Mr. Blorry
That's all it is, maxg As you can see, I am closing in on 100, so I hope to properly rewarded for my efforts "Cheating" is frowned upon though. Just posting silly one-word responses, or posting questions that have already been answered is the easy way to build up your total, but it doesn't do much to contribute to the forum. That is just my opinion. There are no hard and fast rules for collecting posts. Have fun, and I'll see ya on the other side of 100!
Clint Phare
Boy, I too am tired of the cool newbie tittle I am ready to protest! I encourage all other " newbie's " to join me! Although I have'nt figured out how one would protest on a BB. I don't think fasting would really be the right protest, nor dousing my/ ourselves with gas would be appropriate either. I am open to suggestions. How about just letting us have " newbie " for the first 10 and then graduate us after that?
bensilb
I think the first 50 posts should be considered newbie. Once you passed 50 it seems like you should be a crazy posterespecially if you have only been a member since end of April. You are obviously searching the boards often and not just stopping by every once in a while for troubleshooting. I am pushing 80 posts in just a few months. Crazy possibly no lifehell yes. I enter the wonderful planet of Klipsch at least once daily sometimes more. Thats crazy. The other day I couldnt access the site and I began to have withdrawal. I tried again very late and was able to scan the daily posts but was too tired to post. I was able to get my fix for the day however. ------------------ Sony Trinitron 27" TV Yamaha RX-V1000 JVC HR-S3800 Super VHS VCR Sony DVP-S530D DVD Player Sony Tape Sony CDP-CE345 Cd player RF-3 RC-3 Synergy Rear surounds

bensilb
Clint I think that is more of a punishment for yourself! Every here the phrase, Dont cut off your noise to spite your face. You will be answering questions like, where do you plug the left and right out wire on the accustomas 15? Whats a receiver? MY BOSE SYSTEM ROCKS!!! I love quality of highs and mids. Bose is the best speaker in the worldKlipsch is second to Bose. Well have fun at the pathetic world of BoseLOL! ------------------ Sony Trinitron 27" TV Yamaha RX-V1000 JVC HR-S3800 Super VHS VCR Sony DVP-S530D DVD Player Sony Tape Sony CDP-CE345 Cd player RF-3 RC-3 Synergy Rear surounds
Clint Phare
bensilb- Hmm, you might ahave a point there. I think I would have to suffer photos/ descriptions of their gear- can you see it- " I cut the front out of one of my Bose cubes and mounted an Altec 511 horn in there. " Although I am still interested in how they stuff 7 miles of " transmission line " in one of them apewstomass thingys
MacKlipsch
Mr. Blorry, Do you think anyone really cares what their status below their avatar says? Enough to run up their total posts by posting frivolous short posts, or asking questions that have already been asked? Maybe they should have a special status for those folks....NO LIFE....
