  1. Sounds like that knucklehead got fired for all the right reasons. (I'm in IT myself)
  2. Sorry to hear that Klipsch no longer had it in stock. I was tickled to death that they still had mine, considering the KG 3.2 was made back in 1994 as well...
  3. The bass driver (K-1002-K) in one of my son's KG 3.2's failed a couple years back, there was no visible damage to the driver . I contacted the parts folks at 1-800-Klipsch, and I purchased a replacement (I don't recall how much). It's a simple fix.
  4. I consider myself very fortunate. There's Klipsch sound in a quality multiplex only 5 miles from my front door. [] Of course, not counting the obvious home theater setup with my Reference 3 series I bought some years back.
  5. I'm still running with two RF-3, one RC-3, and two RS-3 speakers for my home theater setup. They sound just as good today as when I first purchased them many years ago. I recently upgraded an antiquated receiver with a Pioneer VSX-919-AH, and I've fallen in love with my Klipsch all over again. Anyone else still enjoy these speakers? If you had them, but upgraded, what did you upgrade them to?
  6. Thanks to Steve, and everyone who posted! I appreciate you passing my thanks along, colterphoto1. I guess I owe you a beer. Or three. []
  7. I figured they deserve one! I know it was a simple fix as far as equipment goes, but I felt that their assistance made the whole procedure easy. Kudos!
  8. Frequent lurker, occasional poster, and long time owner of Klipsch, reporting in! I want to post this to thank all the fine professionals in Klipsch Home Audio Customer Support. First, I called 1-800-KLIPSCH, and I was referred to the Technical Assistance department to diagnose my problem. After a very quick questions and answer session, we determined the problem with one of my son's KG 3.2 speakers; the bass driver (K-1002) was bad. I was transferred to the Parts Department, and behold! They had the driver I needed in stock! This, in itself is impressive just for the fact that this speaker has been out of production since 1994! I ordered the part right on the spot for a nominal price. (Thursday 7 June) I was told that it would take approximately 5 business days for delivery. Well, the folks at Klipsch did even better, because I received the driver via FedEx yesterday (12 Jun). Much, much sooner than expected. Do I need to mention that 15 minutes later, my new driver was installed and operating perfectly? Yeah, I thought so. We are talking Klipsch, remember? Not only does Klipsch sell quality products, they stand behind them years after the sale! Please pass along my thanks and appreciation to everyone at Klipsch who made all this possible. Thanks again, from a devoted Klipsch owner and enthusiast, Bill A. Converse, TX
  9. Sheeeooooot, that was a bargain! Congrats!
  10. I've always wanted a pair of Belle Klipsch, but if I ever run into some bucks, I won't rule out the possibility. For dreaming a dreamy dream planning purposes, what is recommended as a good matching subwoofer? Feel free to list various types, price ranges. Remember, this is a dream....
  11. I'm still trying to figure out how someone can send 'second chance' offers on an auction that hasn't finished yet? ...or was this faux 'second chance' offers from a legit auction? Truth be told, this sucks and has to stop...ebay seems to be overun by the barbarians, when it comes to buying/selling high $$$ items....
  12. So, are my original 5.1 RF series setup (RF3, RC3, and RS3) now becoming passe? Ah, well, such is the price of progress....
  13. In my experiences with both FedEx and UPS, I haven't had a problem. I won a pair of KG 3.2 speakers on ebay about a year or so ago, and shipped from California to Texas...both speakers arrived in the pristine condition they were sent. I also ordered a metal DDR dance pad which was shipped UPS, and it arrived intact as well. But of course, depending on what is shipped and how far it has to go....your milage may vary. Your best bet is to emphasise to the seller that they take extra care and make sure doubly sure they package them well. Be sure all sides are protected. Dumping styrofoam peanuts on top of it in a big box is not enough. Entrusting the UPS/FedEx/Generic store clerk to pack and box it up it for you is just asking for trouble.
  14. For sniping software versus using a web site, try out Auction Sentry. http://www.auctionsentry.com/ I've used a registered copy for a couple of years now, and never had a problem...the only time I don't win is when the auction goes higher than my maximum bid amount.
