Since the price is pretty low on the DD-5.1 are they working on a new version as we speak ??? Does anyone know ??? Something that would allow you to remove the volume pod and control everything from a digital rack mount with a mini remote maybe :)

bottom line is there going to be a new one ??

thanks

i would say maybe, that tends to be the method to slash prices when a new release is coming out. Either that or they had slow in sales and wanted to move a bunch and I'm sure they have since the price is lower. Ya know what would be sweet....if they made an external sound card for laptops that had the same features. Like a 5.1 sound card Decoder by klipsch. I'd pay top dollar for that :)

Looks kind of like a DD-5.1 with some extra airspace in the case to match the dimensions of their amp, doesn't it? Since the power connector is an IEC320 spec cable, it apparently has an internal PS instead of an external wall wort. Do the specs sound a little familar?

This decoder has PL II!

I'm virtually certain that the DD-5.1 is sourced from VideoLogic systems in the UK or from _their_ ROC contract manufacturer.

-Anyone want to wager that this will bear the innards of a DD-5.1 successor?

P.S. Amy if you are lurking; please spec the Blue negative mode LCD in the BOM instead of amber for the new DD-5.1 Ultra. Blue LEDs and LCDs are chic. (Well, what else would Klipsch name it?)
