Joe Shmoe
In the M&K manual it states to just hook the cable directly to the left input jack only and not to use the y-connector? This is the way I currently have it but now I just picked up a Denon 3803 and was going through all of my connections again. Anyone else own M&K subs or hook theirs up this way? Joe Shmoe
So I guess that's a NO? Alright, I guess I will hook it up with the Y connector anyway and see what happens. I am using Audioquest Diamondback which came with a Y so I will keep you posted, because I know you are all dying to find out.
gcoker
The Sunfire subs recommend using the left input only. And that's the way I'm running it.
purdue2k2
I have a Sunfire sub as well - same exact Diamondback cable. I'm running both connections w/ no issues. I posted on this topic a while back. People told me that I could expect slightly higher output by using both connectors. I do notice that I have to turn my sub down a little so that it's not overwhelming.
mbajner
I have a M&K MX-90 sub. I do use a Y adapter. its an all metal one that is attatched to my receiver, which has only one sub output. then use a regular pair of cables to connect to the sub. no problems. had my sub for over 11 years now. mbajner
you don't hear a lot about M&K subs on forums. not sure why. I think they are great. they are used alot in studios and such. they are not cheap which may explain the lack of interest in them.

The maximum volume will remain the same, as these are usually limited by amplifier power or woofer's excursion, and rarely by the input level. In this case, there is little difference either way. Joe Shmoe
I have the M&K 350THX, I think it's a great sub. I chose this over Klipsch, just for the fact that when I was looking to buy, Klipsch was still working out the bugs on their new line. I wouldn't say M&K are more expensive than what other members have talked about on here... I mean those SVS Subs aren't that cheap right? By the way, I went through the manual again and just left it hooked up to the Left input.
