StLouisVegan
Was wondering after I strip the orignal paint off and sanded my speakers... should I use a Wagner power spray gun OR a brush to paint. I want to achieve the same look as the orignal. ALSO...what does Klipsch use for their black paint????? Michael
ironwoods
I painted my '86 raw birch Heresys just a year ago. I used Rustoleum Satin Blk spray from a can. They came out with a tad less sheen than my stock blk. KV-3. I believe Klipsch uses a sprayed laquer for their finish.
stan krajewski
I am going to repaint my Klipsch Heresy IIs. What I did was call 1-800-KLIPSCH and asked for and got their tech support. Have your Serial Number in front of you also the type. The type indicates the finish and color. He will tell you what kind and grade of paint was used. This way there is no guessing. He was very helpful. By the way, he said he had refinished a pair of LaScalas using a fine roller. Thats a lot less messy than spraying and thats what I plan on doing. Good luck.
