STL
Do you also have a LCR meter (or access to one)? I am looking for a Cornwall 2 owner who is willing and able to take some measurements on that T4A autoformer in the crossover network. I am trying to confirm that a Universal Transformer 3619 will work in its place.
Frzninvt
The T4A is fixed at -4db for the midrange, the 3619 is variable in 3db steps so I guess it can go -3db, -6db, -9db, -12db so you will be 1db higher in the midrange if you use the 3619 in place of the T4A. I need to get some T4A's for my AK-2 Klipschorns since I have the T2A's and they are fixed at -6db. I need to bring my mids up 2db to emulate the AK-3 crossover, I have already changed the woofer caps and the midrange inductor. I am reasonably certain this information is correct I am certain someone else will chime in though.
STL
Thanks for the info. If what you say is true, I might just go with the 3619 anyhow since they are $10 cheaper than the T4As and are more flexible (if I ever wanted to use them elsewhere).
