dacer
I am getting sick of my CD's. Need something new or at least new to me. I'm looking for suggestions for something with alot of Drums, percussion, instrumental type music. I have been listening to Blue Man Group (the intel guys) pretty awesome over my La Scala's. I listen to a wide varity of styles of music rangeing from folk to surf and jazz, blues or combination of these styles. Looking for any suggestions to new music. dacer
Thanks for the recomendations Jim. My 80's music knowledge is not the greatest but I thought Duran Duran and Depech Mode was more pop than anything granted I have not listen to any of their CD's just what they have played on pop radio. Enigma I do remember being pretty good instrumentals. I was hopeing to find something that specifically percussion with Jazz overtones. Thanks for the input though. Tenhet
Dancer, Check out CDNOW. You can search for specific genre. Most have sound clips. CDNOW has helped me make many informed music purchases. It really sucks to buy a CD and there is only a couple of good songs on there. jdm56
One of the most impressive sounding CD's I've heard lately is "The Mix" by Kraftwerk. It is dance remakes of some of their older work. Sounds absolutely awesome over klipschorns. The bass and drum machines especially. The only bad thing is that after you listen to it, anything else you put on sounds dull in comparison. So just save it for the last selection you listen to before you power down your system for the night. I'd highly recommend this disc to anybody who likes dance/techno/electronic music at all. ------------------ JDMcCall
