orr_2111
Is this something I can correct myself? If so, can someone provide some guidance. I am not mechanically inclined! Also, what size/type of driver to remove the screws? Someone please help!
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted March 26, 2004 Klipsch Employees Share Posted March 26, 2004 Sure you can. There 4 screws holding the input cup on the cabinet....( thats the platic cup the binding post is on) Remove them and pull the cup out...you will see small nuts holding the post in the cup...tighten them... put it all back and your all done. lynnm
Nice Play Trey ! We could have convinced this guy to take a 4 year program in electroacoustics followed by a Masters degree in Quantum Physics plus a little post-masters work in Basic Electricity but Noooo - You jump in and give him the easy way out. Do you have a Torx screwdriver with a T20 bit? He he he he. Evil aint I? Hey! Were being nice. for now. We could turn this topic into 8 pages worth of mumbo jumbo before you know what hit ya. For instance, how many foot pounds of torque are you going to apply to tighten those babies down to where they are properly flush without compromising the wood structure since you technically have changed it just by removing the screws to tighten the screws? Seeeeeeeeee ? See that now? I think were being REALLY nice here. He he he
b-man1
same thing happened to but on my RC-7...i opened it up and found the nut was stripped and couldn't tighten it down. my dealer replaced the speaker (it was 1 day old) and the same post was loose on the replacement! i gave up and just used banana clips instead of trying to tighten the post down onto bare wire.
