Frzninvt Posted March 26, 2004 Share Posted March 26, 2004 My brother in law has one that we used to power his Klipschorn's using his Denon AVR-4800 as the preamp, it made a big difference in dynamics and detail over the internal amplifiers in the Denon receiver if that helps any. texas42 Posted March 26, 2004 Share Posted March 26, 2004 My experience with Adcom and Klipsch is that the Adcom will provide excellent bass control, but it would be a bit 'agressive' or bright everywhere else. YMMV...Try to check it out in your system and listen for a few hours and see if it is fatiguing to you. I think an old mosfet amp like the B&K ST-140 would be an excellent solid state amp to use or, of course, tube amps which would be the best. Just my two cents...
