Kudret
I decided to pass on this one as it was not a stock unit. Auction ends in 45 minutes and it is $586 at the moment. Is this for real? What am I missing here? Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3088164370&category=50593 Kudret
NOSValves
That was a normal price for a 130 for the most part. It has had some work done to it and slightly modified from stock but far from completely rebuilt. They usually sell for $500 or so in stock unrebuilt condition. Well except when people go insane like around christmas one wnet for $1200 or something like that ! Craig
Erik Mandaville
I was watching that myself!
Kudret
Hi, Erik. Since it was in Canada, I was considering it for a while. I'll keep looking for a Scott LC-21 or Eico HF-85. These are more in my price range. Craig, for some reason I thought the going price for 130 was ~$300.
Erik Mandaville
I was going to mention it to you, Kudret. Strange, actually...I thought you might already know! The fact that it was in Canada would absolutely have been a bonus if other things had been more favorable (the bidding that is.) It was just expensive, but you had gotten me really curious based on what you said about the sound of the DRDs with the center channel output on your Scott. While I'm here, Kudret: You told me once about some of your impressions of the differences in overall sound between a few different Scott amps. The 299B sounded like it was very good, and I think I like the same crisp and clear sort of presentation. I've heard others say the 299B is too bright, which makes me even more interested! It's just a sound I happen to like, others of course might feel differently. I would love to have a nice vintage Scott in my system sometime... I hope things are well with you all,
