Q-Man
I never have to do too much to my wifes car, since see doesn't put a lot of miles on it. I'm cleaning it up to get it ready to sell it as we speak. It's a fully loaded 99 Buick Lesabre with 22,000 miles on it. I did have to put a new air conditioning system in it a few months ago for some reason, I guess maybe age.
Tom Adams
LOL.... It's always amusing to see a post like Agent99 where they get all puffed up and defensive and then throw down the gauntlet. Only to have someone respond like Champagne did. Who, I thought, was awfully nice. The only thing I would've added had I been Champagne would've been.... "How do you like your crow?" easylistener
I will take both you on. I was a Gm/Jeep/Chrysler tech for years. GM used to bring me there allmost and buy backs to fix. I used to talk to the Engeneers and tell them how to change things to fix problems they are having. I have a T/C for you if you need one. I will sell it to you. Allan Songer
My wife put new bearings and synchros in her Borg-Warner T-85 BY HERSELF (1955 Studebaker pickup) last summer. All I did was yank it out and put it back for her. She also does ALL of the maintenance on the beast including good-old-fashioned tuneups (you all remember the dwell/tach and timing light don't you?) and brake jobs. She drives the Stude as an everyday vehicle (about 8,000 miles a year) and it has NO a/c NO radio NO p/s NO p/b and a three-on-the tree with O/D. My wife is 47 years old and stands 5'4" tall and weighs about 120 lbs and has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in EE. Pretty cool. Champagne taste beer budget
Pretty Cool indeed. What's the definition on an automotive engineer? Someone who would climb over 8 naked women to screw over one mechanic. Change gender as you see fit.
