NOSValves
A aluminum plate will cut out some noise any type ground plain will do it. I have made a aluminum box to cover a humming power transformers and a the unshielded Stereo selector switch on a EICO amp attached to the ground and it quieted the amp pretty good a ground plain is a ground plain. Yes some other types a metal will work better but this guy is just trouble shooting and what I suggested would be cheap and give a Idea if its worth going further into it to solve the problem. NOSValves
TCB, Can you disconnect the woofer from the crossover ? If you can does the noise deminish or change ? I'm pretty sure you said this was at least partly coming from the mid range driver. Craig

3dzapper
That amount of LF radiated energy can't be healthy. Have you thought about contacting an attorney? Craig, 60Hz goes around corners, a sheet of anything under the speaker isn't going to help here. Rick
