HornPenguin
It seems that the country genre name tends to lead one to a negative impression. At least it does for me anyway. I personally love many country artists from the 60's and 70's, but wouldn't even think of listening to the current Clear Channel inspired stuff on the radio today. Lynn Anderson is one of my particular favorites, much of her stuff is really good with little of the country twang that many find distasteful. Greatest hits albums rarely present an artist in their best light. In Lynn's case, it probably contains many of the songs of hers that made the country station play lists. Its the other, less popular songs that she does that I enjoy more.
sheltie dave
Max, Lynn Anderson is one of the icons of country Country. She was big in the era of hard drinkin' honky tonks, and crying in your beer songs.
