Rudy81
If you are using eBay to buy Klipsch products be very careful. I recently bid on some Khorns and for the last few days have received two e-mails that look like they are from e-bay offering a Second Chance Offer. I was confused at first because the seller and I had been in contact and I did not recognize the e-mail address. The offer was for my last highest bid. I contacted the real seller and he says that they are sold and he never offered a second chance sale. Be careful out there. Yes, it has been reported to eBay....nice scam...I actually got excited for a minute and thought I would get some nice Khorns...
Daddy Dee
Rudy, Thanks for posting on this scam. I get paypal and ebay spoofs about every week. Had three in one day last week. However, even with a good eye for such, the excitement about a second chance bid on a pair of Khorns, that excitement just might overload my crap detectors to my detriment. It would be too bad to be scammed on a pair of Khorns.
Rudy81
Well, they almost got me. These were late model Khorns available locally for 2K. I thought, what a great deal. The different address from the real owner tipped me off, only because I had been in contact with the owner previously during my many questions on the horns. Zeke_in_KC
Same thing happened (bogus e-mail) to me while bidding on some Altec Lansing Model 19s. Truly a slimeball effort...
jdm56
Isn't it a shame that for every good thing man comes up with, there is a dark side that tries to ruin it for everyone.
fini
Yeah, that is a scary one. I just the other day offered a second chance to a couple of bidders on an auction that didn't reach the reserve (very close), and one accepted. I was not sure how it would come across to the bidders. TNX for the heads-up!
