Total harmonic and intermodular distortion from a single-ended design carries different harmonics than that of push-pull designs. Quite an achievement considering most of his time is spent on Pass Labs, his company. His rather classic Zen amp (10W SS single ended) was designed with Klipsch speakers in mind. If interested in trying to building something quite similar to his Firstwatt design, you can check out the latest variations of the "Son of Zen" It's relatively cheap to build. Should be fun to.
