tigerwoodKhorns
I just picked up a set of mint walnut finish Belles today plus a mint tube amp (forgot the name) for another. Just by chance, the Belles finish perfectly matches my Heresys. Oh what a day!!! The Belles will be a part of my home theater as the front mains in conjunction with 4 heresys as center and surrounds all connected to a Denon 5800 receiver. The tube amp will be used for two channel in the theater room when I don't feel like listening to the K Horns and Scott tubes. The Belles have a type AB crossover. Is this a decent x-over? middlecreekguy
Sounds like a good score. Congratulations. Was that on ebay or in your local area?
Parrot
Tremendous deal, Chris! But why would you ever NOT want to listen to your Klipschorns for two-channel?
tigerwoodKhorns
I found them in the local paper. I could not believe the shape that they were in.I imagine that I would always want to listed to the K Horns. The amp actually works very well as I have an MC Cartrige on my phono and my Scott L 48 does not work with it. ----------------On 11/17/2004 6:06:10 PM paulparrot wrote: Tremendous deal, Chris! nicholtl
Nice catch! What speaker DO you run in your 2-channel rig, if not Khorns?
triode
The 'AB' crossover is basically terrible. I would go with a Type 'A'.
tigerwoodKhorns
How much is a set of Type A's? I have heard that they are cheaper than ALK's.
3dzapper
I may be wrong but, aren't the AB networks type A's or AA's with the mid frequency xover point raised for the Belle? Tigerwood, great deal on those Bells!! I would have risked sleeping on the couch for a month or two if that deal came my way. Rick
