CaptnBob
The H-700 is the designation for the Heresies with a larger midrange horn and a 700 hz crossover between the woofer and squawker. The first Heresies were H-1000s and had a 1000hz crossover point. They had smaller midrange horns, like the ones used in Shorthorns, and shallower cabinets. The H-1000s were intended as center-fill speakers and have a less pronounced low end. When people started buying Heresies in pairs for stereo use, PWK modified the design for better bass and changed the model number to distinguish the two. After a few years, the H-700 designation went away, as there were no more H-1000s to confuse it with.
