Then the Xbox2 should be at a reasonable price. Hell, the Xbox 3 might be around the corner by then (assuming the involuntary extensions are still in place). Dev kits have been out to developers for over a year, and probable launch date is September-Novermber 2005. They hope to beat Sony to the punch this time. There are some rumors regarding the next Halo (halo 2.5, halo 3, whatever) that it will launch with the system, and that it is mostly already completed. Just a rumor mind you, but multiple 'credible' rumor sources are saying that Halo 3 will be out WAY before we expect it, and on XBOX 2. Freak Nasty Posted January 4, 2005 Share Posted January 4, 2005 I think Microsoft are working on the New Xbox in very great secrecy, they might already have a few prototype ready to launch, they are just waiting for sony to bring out their PS 3 so that they can just bring out a box that a tint ahead of ps3. dblue Posted January 10, 2005 Share Posted January 10, 2005 Actually, PS3 and the next Nintendo system are scheduled for late 2006. The xbox2 aims to beat them by an entire year. And the Halo2.5 or whatever for launch...newest rumors say that they will instead launch Halo 3 on the same day that PS3 and nintendo's new system comes out! OUCH!
