Alas, the things actually caused my new wife physical pain, really, and I replaced them with my KRKs which she's happy with and I think they're fine too. I can play the KRKs much louder before she complains. Now I understand why some hate Klipsch speakers. I'm getting rid of the Hereseys. I like them, but even on their risers I notice the fact that they are not nearly as loud when not at ear level. The sound is great though, in a small room.
