jpm
Will a RW12 sub keep up with a pair of RF7's in a 13' X 20' living room? By that I mean is it fast enough and not sloppy with the 7's?
Deang
Depends on how loud you play them. Personally, I wouldn't use anything less than a RSW-12.
Klipsch RF7
Hell, I use a RSW-15 with my RF-7's, awesome deep bass with plenty of attack and finnesse. Not sloppy whatsover, it is exactly what the RF-7's need in order to sound their best.
MrMcGoo
I use the RSW-15 with my RF-7s. THE RSW-15 goes lower than most 12 inch subwoofers. Many movie sound tracks go as low as 16 Hz. The other thing to be aware of with RF-7s is that the amplifier driving then needs to be able to drive 2 ohm loads, if you want the RF-7s best bass. I went from a 140 watt amp that was stable with 4 ohm loads to an amplifier of 225 watts that is stable with 2 ohm loads. The improvement was dramatic, particularly in the RF-7s' bass.
