JohnnyK
I have an Aragon StageOne that is running in 5.1 surround. Is it worth the expense to install two rear speakers, an additional 2 channel amp and watch movies in 7.1? I know that few movies have true 7.1 or 6.1 audio. However, I know that the StageOne can create the rear surround even if none are present on the audio track. John
STL
Only if you have a large room.
nicholtl
Anytime you can add additional speakers (provided you have the room, as STL stated above) to create a greater depth of soundfield and illusion of space for your music or movie experiences, go for it. Buy that 2nd amp. Buy those 2 speakers. Never look back.
boomer9911
what movie format\musical concert is out in 7.1.... rest my case... you want to build for the "future" go ahead, I would if I was building my own house right now and designing for the future...to easy, in 5 years it could be 10.2... Enigma
I am happy with 5.1 and don't feel the need for more speaker setup. I mean in Jet Li's Kiss Of The Dragon....in one scene the nunchucks swoosh right in my ears as If I was there. Incredible! -ant
marksdad
depends on your speakers. my 2 khorns sound better than my sons reference set up, and when i use the rest of my 5 heritage speakers i dont need 6-7, so if you have small speaks t5han maybe, besides sound tracks are only in 6 channel anyway
