despatch
Put it this way... not the scratching post that we have so dilegently trained him to use.. not the curtains... not the couch... not the matress... He went for the gold (my Klipsch tower speaker) Yes, he got it... Nothing better than hacked up grill in prime listening view sight. I can't wait to sit down and enjoy the music tonight... Can anybody out there suggest where i would find replacement fabric for the speaker grill??? I need it to match my other 6 klipsch speakers. ***I assume that i am not the first person this has happened to and probably won't be the last. To anybody interested: Any speaker horror stories that you wish to share? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! despatch
kenratboy
LOL, sorry... Klipsch should have new ones available for a reasonable price - maybe stock up
IAmtnbikr
Simple economics of the situation: One bullet + one new grille is less than multiple grilles. Okay, okay....just kidding all you cat lovers....we have one ourselves! And the first time she goes after MY RF's....
Bill H.
Des, If you catch the cat Near the speakers, with a spray bottle, hit him with water each time he does this ..........I have also hear that putting pepper near the speakers, and a small amount on his paws teaches him to say away...........just an Idea! Fish
When we got our cat 20 years ago I only agreed if he was de-clawed(front paws).I had too many friends with tore up grills and you can't really blame the cats, its what they do.Of course once de-clawed they are a house cat forever. tonygeno
Try cat repellant around the speaker, or citrus spray which cats hate. That should keep the cat away. Once I had a set of Maggie 2.7s (large, planar speakers covered with fabric). My gal decided to show me, backed up against it and left a 9" half moon of pee at the base of the speaker. The Maggies (after grill replacement) are long gone. Jasmine is still a (happy) member of our household. I do think the cat repellant should work in your situation though. Good luck. While I like them both, my speakers cost a lot more than their free furry little arses.
