HT Separates Ratings... Parasound? Carver?

I will be eventually replacing my non-DD RX-V990 with separates (pre-amp/amp) for hopefully less than $4000...

anybody here have Parasound separates with their Klipsch speakers, and how do you like it?

what about Bob Carver's Sunfire series?

I'm leaning more toward the Parasound (more in the budget), and their HCA-2205A and AVC-2500u have some pretty awesome specs.

Anyone with firsthand experience?

I have a AVC-2500u that I use with an Adcom GFA-7000 power amp and KLF 20's. The 2500u is great. Dead quiet plenty of ins and outs. In 2 channel it sounds great and the suround sound is very impressive as well. The auto calibration feature is pretty cool and easy also. If you are into 6.1 or 7.1 surround you would have to get an out board decoder. I have no experience with the Sunfire equipment and doubt I will as much as I like my 2500u. I also can't comment on Parasound amps but I imagine that there as least as good as anything in the same price range. Also if you have any problems with the equipment Parasound will make it right. The customer service I have received from them is the best I have ever experienced. Hope this is of some use for you. Good luck.

drewzter....Give Adcom a look. I've owned many of there components for years and never had a problem. Before going with Adcom I ran mostly older Carver equipment. Can't beat the dual meters on the front of there amps but the sound just doesn't touch my Adcom gear. Good Luck....
