Born2RockU
HeritageBob: The reserve is set incredibly lower then the "Buy It Now" price. I just placed that high $675.oo Buy It Now price for the eager-beaver whom couldn't wait for this incredible amp ! ~ I just have too many amps. NOSValves
Man I thought when I first read the title you were already dumping the MC tube amps. Had me scared for a minute LOL !! So have you given the MC's a whirl yet ? Craig
Daddy Dee
B2RU, That is one sweet looking Mac amp. I'm so tempted.

Born2RockU
James RD : To me, pristine condition ...is anything near MINT condition !
Born2RockU
NOSValves: Craig, I tested all the MC-30 tubes first and they didn't test well, so I have decided to send the amps to : Terry DeWick 1829 Plumb Branch Road Knoxville, TN 37932-2040 Phone : (865) 691-2446, 10AM to 10PM EST E-Mail : Terry DeWick ... for an evaluation. Terry saw the EBay photos and the $1200 price I got them for. He said that I got these two MC-30's for an incredible price. They both still have the selenium diodes in the bias supply that should be changed to silicon and the bias needs adjusting to correct the value due to the better diode replacement... ...and also the main capacitors are to be replaced They will be returned in two weeks... ...BUT I havent decided on the tubes I need to replace them with. Any suggestions. (besides those $1200 Quad WE 350B's)

James RD
Yeah, Craig. You're right. There's not enough time to critique your spelling blunders.

I get a good laugh over the prevalent attitude that its takes some specialist to work on MC power amps. They are by far the simplest vintage tube amps of all to work on. It was engineered into them! NOSValves
I would never question a critique from the likes of "James Dean"
Born2RockU
NOSValves : i hate bothering ERIK with every single thing I purchase, but he reassures me that this would be a minimal situation to fix, if needed. Erik says that since the amps are whisper clean w/ no " HUM ", then I should be good to go. I am taking the advice and NOT sending them to this specialist at this time. I am hoping to come visit ERIK and his beautiful wife in a few days. Thank You all for the suggestions. ............Ohhhhh, and sorry on the MIS-SPELLING of Pristine ! NOSValves : I am hoping that would be the case, so i could come visit him ASAP. My Kevin Kennedy 34-L Push-Pull Triode 2-ch Tube Amp was just shipped, so i would have that also to share w/ him.
