bugman25
Hey guys, I'm attempting to put my first system together and I see that UBID has some good deals on the KLF-10/20 and the RP-3's. I will be 50/50 theater/music. Can anyone tell which ones are better. I'm also trying to find a Denon AVR-3300 to power them with. Thanks alot Ryan

dougdrake2
Ryan - The reason, BTW, Boa is suggesting the non-powered towers is that sometimes it is difficult to find a location to put them where both the mids/tweets and the sub sound right. Subs tend to do best tight in the corners, where the tweets/mids are often better a little further into the room. Having a separate sub can relieve that problem... bugman25
Thanks for the replies, my room is about 18x22 and I was gonna use them for fronts. I would be putting them to the side of my entertainment center but in the corners of the room. If that helps. I may have to go with the KLF-10 depending on the deal I can find. But I thought if I could get the sub built in and they had great bass, I could save a $ or two in the long run by getting the RP-3's instead of the KLF-10/20. What do you think? How about the Denon 3300, is it way better than the 2801? Thanks again, Ryan
T2K
Hey neighbor(bugman)!Do you do business with a local dealer?I have found in Birmingham the only dealer worth doing business with is HiFiBuys. Called HiFiBuys this morning and the 20's and 30's are gone.HiFiBuys is having a sale next Thursday on closeout's,discontinued's,floor models, etc.Good prices on demo 3801's and 2801's.Check them out quickly. If I can help you find anything let me know.I'm not sure I would buy RP-3's,personally.I like the Legends, but I wouldn't buy them either.PM me with your e-mail and I'll fill you in on a local buy that you might be interested in.Good luck to you. dbflash
KLF20's for front's. Check out www.onecall.com. They had about 40 KLFC7's left last week for about $282.00 each. you can use that for your center. Once setup correctly the KLF20's sound great with both 2 Channel and HT. Small World. I'm staying in Pelham and all my stuff is in a storage building on 31. Danny
space_cowboy
I currently use KLF-20's for my fronts and they do a wonderful job! I would LOVE to have the KLF-C7 for a center, but it's just too big for my current TV. I may just get one anyway and save it until the current TV is replaced.
