sunnysal
its a mono pp amp, decent trannies, not a collector's amp though IMHO...collectors like brook, we, rca, altec and jensen for 2A3...regards, tony

seti
I was mostly looking out of curiosity because you never know when you could stumble on a classic vintage tube gear cheap. Of course they look like they need a good cleaning and going over by a pro. Before I started reading this forum I probably never would have given an old Scott, Brown, WE, or marantz tube amp a second look know if I see one at a flea market or yard sale I am going to run with it. markus111
You would do better to stick with something from the 1950's on up. Amps from the 30's and 40's were designed primarily for the vocal range. They can have some great midrange, but the response is typically flat only in the range between 100hz and 8khz. I've had a number of these 60+ year old triode amps, and generally use them for display only. Mark
mike stehr
Seller claims OPT's can do 65K. That's interesting.
sunnysal
those ARE nice trannies but mark is right most amps from that era are not wide bandwidth amps...tony
