Valjean256
Can anyone out there tell me if the Heresy I's or II's are shielded so that they can be placed beside a monitor?

Marvel
I have some unshielded speakers (not my HIIs) that sit within 8 inches of my monitors at my computer desk. Any closer and they cause problems. Just try moving one to the distance you want and see if it causes a deflection of any kind. Start out a little farther away and slowly move it in closer. Born2RockU
Valjean256 : I bought "bucking" magnets from Klipsch (about $39) for my Heresy II center-channel and placed the speaker directly on top of my 36" tube tv. You will need metal epoxy to adhese these "bucking" magnets directly on back of each of the 3 Heresy magnets. Apply each magnet so they resist each other ! Don't let the magnets cling to each other natural...they must fight each other. I used duct tape to help hold the epoxy to quick-dry for about 5 minutes... ...then took the duct tape off, ...then secured the speaker into position. It was a fun and easy upgrade to my system , before I purchased my LaScala center-channel. Here is a photo of my rig ! http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=59011
