scotbuck
Greetings, The folks at 6moons.com announed the following: "3/31/05 - Sonic Impact T-Amp Gen 2: In response to the incredible popularity of the original and the countless DIY modifications it inspired, Rick Bracke of Sonic Impact Technologies is now introducing his own hot-rodded version, incorporating the features customers have been asking for. The 2026 will be an improved, gussied-up T-amp for $119 and the 2050 a 50wc version for $299. Our own Jeff Day has taken delivery of samples to continue reporting on this underground phenomenon." And the saga continues... Take care, Scott

Daddy Dee
I was looking around on sixmoons, but didn't locate the article. Anyone have a link? Glad to see SI paying attention to the market.

mike stehr
Just looked at the SI site, they don't advertise the GEN2 T-amp yet that I can see.
Daddy Dee
Right, it's not mentioned on the SI site. The whole "underground" thing with SI is about a product that's better than it's supposed to be. The fact that audio enthusiasts discovered the SI T amp could be no bigger surprise to SI than anyone else. I mean they market CARDBOARD speakers to match with these amps, for crying out loud. Their market appears to be targeting middle school kids with backpacks to carry around CD's with their XBox amp. 6Moons having a sneak preview is encouraging, hopefully SI will bring a better product to market. The pics look promising. From the browsing I did on the net on SI, it would look to take $150 in parts alone to turn the SI into an acceptable performer. Add, a considerable amount of sweat equity and skill with a soldering iron. If they turn out a unit with decent quality parts, it should be impressive right out of the box. What actually happens will just have to wait for evaluation, and it will be interesting to see.
