Tom Adams
Hey guys - Need some help/ideas. As you've probably seen, I did a refinish job on my Heresy's. One of those speakers is a Heresy II. When I took the drivers out of it, there was a thin foam type gasket material that was between the flange of the drivers and the motor board. Upon removal of the drivers, saving the gaskets was not possible. Well, now I need them but Klipsch parts does not supply them. I looked at Lowe's and Home Depot, but didn't find anything that was suitable since it needs to be fairly thin. Got any ideas? TIA Tom
Frzninvt
I would try some adhesive backed 1/8" black weatherstripping it should squish down good when the flanges are tightened up. Try Home Depot or Lowe's.
scott0527
If you just have to have something that is more "speaker" related, www.partsexpress.com has several different types of speaker gasketing. I don't know if it's any different than weatherstripping but I bought a roll a while back and it worked very nicely.
dbflash
What Frzninvt recommended. When I redid my KLF20's it had the thin paper gasket stuff. I bought the foam. The screws push right thru and it lays flat when tightned down. I used it on all components. Danny
